About Us

Bridging Worlds, Offering Hope

We are two sisters who grew up with a foot in two worlds. Being raised by an American father and a mother from the post Soviet Block meant our extended family was spread across the globe. From a young age, we were immersed in two cultures, living in the US while learning Russian and traveling to visit our relatives in Eastern Europe. Our diverse background gave us a deep appreciation for the richness of different perspectives and the power of connection. Little did we know that these experiences would one day prepare us to help those in need in ways we never expected.

When the war between Russia and Ukraine broke out in February 2022, it changed our family and the world we knew. The pain of seeing so many lives disrupted, including our own, was heartbreaking. Our family became even more international as loved ones scattered into different countries all over Asia and Europe — an aunt in Georgia, a cousin in Spain, an uncle in Singapore, and a grandpa in Portugal. Witnessing their resilience inspired us to take action.

In the summer following the outbreak of the conflict, we traveled to Romania to volunteer at a refugee camp. It was a life-changing experience. Because we spoke Russian and understood the complexities of the conflict, we were able to connect with refugees on a personal level. We listened to their stories, shared in their grief, and helped in any way we could. We discovered the profound impact we could have by simply offering our time, our language, and our hearts.

Our mission now is clear: to build unity by helping individuals and families displaced by conflict and war. We are passionate about creating connections across borders and using our unique background to build bridges where there is division. Every person we meet and every story we hear reminds us why we started this journey—to show that even in times of pain, hope and humanity can prevail.

Together, we can build a world that is more compassionate, connected, and full of hope.
